When I first began my quest of finding out what it means to worship, and how to worship (back in the late 80's), there wasn't a whole lot I could read (aside from God's Word, at least not that I was aware of) that could properly steer me in the right direction. If only Jackie Gouche's TRUE WORSHIPPERS was available. Not only does Jackie give Biblical Scripture references. But she gives practical examples of what it means to worship, and how to worship. This is good advice, coming from one who has been out there for decades. I've had the privilege of seeing Jackie in tandem with Dr. Beverly "BAM" Crawford in action (at Bible Enrichment Fellowship International Church), in Inglewood, California. Jackie makes reference to some of the dynamics involved in worship, on a corporate level (so does Pastor BAM, in the foreword) and I can attest to the veracity of those claims. I first saw the dynamic back in 1991 when I was in LA for a visit. Jackie was on the keyboard, leading worship and I was smitten, not by Jackie. I believe God was heavily in the mix. It was a powerful spiritual experience. The atmosphere was charged with the powerful presence of God facilitated by a strong prophetic, praise, worship and prayer-filled element that seemed commonplace. I read Jackie's book once already and am reading it again and again and again. It's a MUST for anybody who really wants to know what it means to be a TRUE WORSHIPPER.Product details
